Dr. Sean Gupton, MD
Dr. Sean Gupton is double-board certified in Family Practice in the US and Canada. He has 10 years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, and Family Practice. Dr. Gupton started practice in Rochester Minnesota
at the Olmsted ER, across town from the Mayo Clinic. He moved to Minneapolis and worked in the ER at Abbott NW Metro Hospital. With an interest in creative writing, he enrolled in the U of M and took post-grad writing and editing courses. He published 6 short stories in national medical journals in the US and Canada. Sean continued his literary training at The Loft, a private literary college in downtown Minneapolis.
There he met Jenny, and together they loaded their worldly possessions into a giant U-Haul and headed out west to Seattle. In Seattle, Dr. Gupton worked for Kaiser Permanente at their downtown urgent care on Capitol Hill. He was awarded a scholarship from Kaiser and received a degree in medical management from the U of W. It was that period in his education when he realized he wanted not just to go into private practice, but to open his own full service urgent care clinic. Being adventurous, Jenny and Sean felt that Maui was the perfect place to do it, having a very obvious need for
premium quality medical care services.
Dr. Cherie Thomas, MD
Dr. Thomas has over 16 years experience in the ER and Urgent Care setting, and is board certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine. She is thrilled to be living on Maui and working at Minit-Medical Urgent Care, Maui's premier Urgent Care Center.
